Summer Games Puts the Fun in Fundraising
The Summer Games Fundraiser brings together 350 members of the community to compete in 8 events including Ping Pong, Target Shooting, Adult Tricycling, and other epic challenges. Food and adult beverages will also be available for purchase.
Registration is $350 for a team of 6 or $500 for a team of 6 with VIP passes. For an additional $180 all team members will receive Beverage Bracelets. An opening ceremony will kick off the events at 1:00 PM on June 25, 2016.
The mission of Denver Urban Scholars is to partner with high poverty, high performing schools to unlock the potential of students facing added challenges by creating individual pathways to college and career. Funds raised will provide new enrollments, case management, mentoring, tutoring, school supplies, bus passes, and many other resources for the students of Denver Public Schools who are served through Denver Urban Scholars.
Eric Kidd, Vice President of the Youth Opportunity Foundation, shared his thoughts after participating in the event. “Some of the best memories I have of the event are the laughter shared between my teammates and I, the fun that we had connecting with (and on a rare instance, beating) the other teams competing, and being just this close to winning $100k in the Raffle (this year is the year). If there is one event that you’re going to be participating in this year, make it the Summer Games!”
