Summer Games Brings Laughter and Fun

My wife Jessica and I had an incredible time at the 2015 Summer Games, and we’re looking forward to 2016!

Being a member of the Board of Directors for Youth Opportunity, which provides some fundraising for Denver Urban Scholars, I had heard all about this event, but 2015 was the first year that I was able to participate.

The fun began at the Badminton event, which was uniquely designed (as all the games are) to really ensure that everyone gets to participate, and continued all the way through the closing ceremony, which was a celebration both of the day’s events and the incredible work done by Denver Urban Scholars.

Some of the best memories I have of the event are the laughter shared between my teammates and I, the fun that we had connecting with (and on a rare instance, beating) the other teams competing, and being just this close to winning $100k in the Raffle (this year is the year). If there is one event that you’re going to be participating in this year, make it the Summer Games!
