One Challenging Step at a Time

On May 14th, a few of our students and mentors drove up to Genesee, Colorado, to participate in a day filled with adventure education activities led by Denver Parks & Recreation.

A common theme throughout the day was pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and challenging yourself in increments to achieve something that you initially thought was not possible. This theme was definitely applicable during the ropes course section, where many were initially hesitant to complete a full ropes challenge, but kept pushing themselves throughout the day to the point of fully conquering their fears and completing entire stations.

We hope that our students take what they learned on this special day and are able to apply it to other aspects in their everyday lives, one challenging step at time.
