QUARTERLY FORUM ESTABLISHES CAROLYNE HYDE FUTURE LEADER SCHOLARSHIP
DENVER — May 2, 2014 — Quarterly Forum has established the Carolyne Hyde Future Leader Scholarship, with Gov. John Hickenlooper presenting the award to the first recipient during a program yesterday. The annual scholarship provides $10,000 to a college-bound high school senior in the Denver-metro area who demonstrates high scholastic achievement, history of community service and leadership among peers.
The first recipient of the Carolyne Hyde Future Leader Scholarship is Valentina Nuñez, a senior at La Academia and a Denver Urban Scholar. Ms. Nuñez will attend Metropolitan State University of Denver in the fall.
The scholarship honors the legacy of Carolyne Hyde, founder of Quarterly Forum, the exclusive, non-partisan executive leadership organization she formed 15 years ago. Earlier this year she transitioned into the Chairman role of the organization.
“We wanted to honor Carolyne’s legacy of cultivating leadership in Colorado by investing in a future leader’s education.” said Ryan Heckman, Executive Director of Quarterly Forum. “We are honored to award our first scholarship to Valentina who represents so many great things about our community.”
