DENVER, CO – The Mile High Five Foundation netted over $200,000 for charity at the sold-out 2015 Mile High MMAyhem event on October 30, 2015 at Infinity Park in Glendale. Proceeds from the event will benefit ACE Scholarships and Denver Urban Scholars improving academic opportunities for at-risk youth in the Denver area.
“The generous support and contributions from our sponsors and loyal attendees as well as the incredible momentum of the event enabled us to reach a new benchmark of fundraising in our third year,” said Lyle Wallace, Co-Founder of the Mile High Five Foundation.
The event was headlined by sponsor Lockton Companies. “We are so proud of our annual partnership with Mile High MMAyhem, a truly unique event that helps us fulfill our commitment to the Denver community,” said Steve Lockton, Executive Vice President of Lockton Companies, Inc. Other sponsors included Fifth Third Bank, Inspirato, Johnson Financial and Perkins Coie.
“This is a great way to end a wonderful year,” said Norton Rainey, Executive Director of ACE Scholarships. “The Mile High Five Foundation and the sponsors of the Mile High MMAyhem event recognize the value of providing a quality education to every child in our community. Their efforts will allow us to support more children in the years to come.”
The mission of ACE Scholarships is to provide children of low-income families with scholarships to private schools in grades K-12, and to advocate for expanded school choice. In addition to ACE Scholarships, this year’s event benefits Denver Urban Scholars, dedicated to helping metro Denver students with the greatest need graduate high school and enter higher education with a meaningful life plan for success.
