Denver Urban Scholars continues to expand and serve more students in Denver because of the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, and the government.
A unique aspect of Denver Urban Scholars is that expenses associated with administrative salaries, overhead, and fundraising are 100% funded by our Board of Directors. Funds received from foundations, individuals, and corporations are used exclusively for tuition assistance and program expenses. Having administrative expenses covered enables the organization to use contributions to provide educational opportunities to a greater number of students.
Denver Urban Scholars is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. All contributions to the organization, including scholarship and stipend payments, are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by the law.
Denver Urban Scholars is now a Colorado Enterprise Zone Tax Credit program, meaning all donations $250 and greater are eligible for an additional tax credit (25% of the donation value). If you’re interested in having us fill out the paperwork for you to file for this additional credit, please email us or call 303-507-4429. Please be aware that we will need the last four digits of your Social Security Number to process this paperwork.
